An opportunity to discuss the project and your investment in an open-minded way to understand what is possible.
Based on the concepts we talked about at our initial meeting well put together some rough pricing. This will give us an idea of what to expect as far as a general scope of work and cost.
This can be an enjoyable experience as you take the bigger project and break it down into what makes sense for you, your budget, and the value of your home. You can expect some revisions as you narrow down your vision. This process is also one of the most important to get right as what is drawn on paper will determine what we build.
Once plans are finalized, we can work with our trades to come up with a budget that meets yours. We’ll also work to verify materials cost and availability at this point. Some final drawing revisions may be necessary as we work through this.
Once you’ve approved the necessary drawings and budgetary pricing, we will be able to finalize the project schedule and accept a deposit on the project.
Now that we have a thorough understanding of our project, we can submit our plans to the building department for approval. They may ask for small changes, but these are usually insignificant within to scope we’ve budgeted for.
This is when all our planning pays off. Construction projects that are properly planned out and thought through before construction starts are always less stressful and take much less time to complete which is ultimately less costly for you.
